One of the best ways to discover Hungary is literally to have a taste of it. Gastronomy is a strong part of the culture and wines have always evolved along with it. Wine in the “Old World” is considered food, Hungary is not an exception. We think wine should be consumed with food in order to experience its true potential. Wine is also perceived as a “Human Glue” that initiates conversations and can break walls between people, opening up long-lasting conversations about life, philosophy, and love.
THE BP WINE 'XPERIENCE
The Budapest Wine Experience is a recurring wine-tasting event designed for those eager to discover Hungary’s classic wine styles and its most important wine regions complemented with carefully selected matching Hungarian “tapas” and dishes.
Our WSET-certified hosts showcase different wine samples alongside with fascinating stories behind each wine, the region they come from, and the stories of the wineries.
Kadarka, Furmint, Kékfrankos, Tokaj, Villány, Puttonyos and Seprő. You will be familiar with these words by the end of the event and can call yourself a real enthusiast of Hungarian wine.
We have two different types of wine experiences:
The Wine Experience:
Perfect for those who expect an easy and relaxing evening, along with 6 samples of wine accompanied by selections of Hungarian cheese and Charcuterie boards. These events are guided by a presentation of the wine regions and winemakers being tasted on the night (arranged on a regular basis and can be booked via website). We also organize win experience events on request from 10 people minimum. In case you need a specific time get in touch via info@winexperience.hu and we will make it happen.
Classic Wine Dinner:
5-course wine dinner, with 6 wine samples carefully selected to complement each dish. It is also guided by our WSET-certified wine professional along with a presentation of each wine tasted during the dinner (only available by prebooking via info@winexperience.hu with minimum of 10 people).

Our events have a maximum 30 people capacity so you will be seated along with 15-28 fellow wine lovers

A comprehensive overview of Hungarian wines in a relaxed environment, however, don’t be intimidated, our events are designed to be easy and understandable for the beginner level as well.
